Jewelry Care Guide
Our jewelry is designed for everyday wear and made from the finest, responsibly sourced materials. Every material we use is carefully selected, and every piece is created to last.
Jewelry should store in a cool, dark place. Sterling silver jewelry will naturally become oxidized and tarnish over time and wear while solid gold pieces stand the test of time better than other metals. When not in use, keep sterling silver jewelry in a sealed plastic bag or airtight box to keep out the air that causes oxidation. Wearing your jewelry frequently also slows the oxidation process. If your jewelry is stored for an extended period, we recommend cleaning them regularly to maintain shine and prevent oxidation.
Your jewelry is susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals present in perfume, hairspray, make-up, nail polish remover, body oils, sun tan lotion, and deodorant.
Do not keep jewelry in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause many gemstones to fade and lose color.
Sterling silver
Made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, 925 sterling silver is one of the most popular materials for jewelry making thanks to its durability. Unlike pure silver, which is too soft to work with, sterling silver is harder, making the metal perfect for more detailed and complex jewelry designs.
HOW TO CARE FOR STERLING SILVER JEWELRY:
- Sterling silver jewelry will oxidize when exposed to the elements, so remove your silver jewelry before exercising, washing your hands, or showering.
- Always apply perfumes, creams, and hair care products before wearing your pieces.
- To clean tarnished sterling silver jewelry, polish gently with a microfiber or special jewelry cloth.
- Store in a safe, dry place when not worn to protect them from the elements of daily exposure.
